In this study, performance evaluation, modelling and simulation of air-swept coal ball mill grinding circuit is presented. Ball mill in the circuit was modelled based on the Whiten’s (1972) perfect mixing model by calculating the discharge and specifi c breakage rate functions separately. Static separator was analysed and modelled based on the Whiten’s effi ciency curve model (Lynch,1977). By using the determined model parameters for the mill and the separator, simulation was carried out. Simulation studies indicated that, grinding performance of the circuit could be improved by fresh feed and ball size distribution optimization.
Bu çalışmada hava-süpürmeli bilyalı değirmen kömür öğütme devresinin performans ölçümü, modellenmesi ve simülasyonu çalışmaları sunulmaktadır. Devrede yer alan bilyalı değirmen Whiten’ın (1972) mükemmel karışım modeli bazında taşınma hızı ve özgül kırılma hızı fonksiyonları ayrı ayrı hesaplanarak modellenmiştir. Statik havalı separatörün ayrım performansı Whiten‘ın performans eğrisi (Lynch,1977) yaklaşımına göre değerlendirilmiş ve modellenmiştir. Değirmen ve statik separatör için belirlenen model parametreleri kullanılarak simülasyon çalışmaları yürütülmüştür. Simülasyon çalışmaları devrede öğütme performansının besleme tane boyu ve bilya boyu optimizasyonu ile iyileştirilebileceğini göstermiştir.
