Investigation of Relationships Between Cuttability Parameters and Schmidt Hardness

In this study, 5 different rock samples (dolomitic limestone fossilized sandstone, lithic tuff, bioclastic limestone and vitric tuff) and 2 different ore samples (copper ore and lead ore) were subjected to small scale rock cutting test and Cerchar abrasivity test for determination of cuttability parameters which are namely; specific cutting force, specific normal force, specific energy and pick wear rate. In addition to this, Schmidt hammer test was applied on rock and ore samples and Schmidt hardness values were tried to be correlated with cuttability parameters. As a result, exponential relationships were detected between Schmidt hardness and all cuttability parameters. According to these results, it can be stated that Schmidt hardness is an affective parameter on cuttability parameters.

SCHMIDT SERTLİĞİ İLE KESİLEBİLİRLİK PARAMETRELERİ ARASINDAKİ İLİŞKİLERİN İNCELENMESİ

Bu çalışmada 5 farklı kayaç örneği (dolomitik kireçtaşı, fosilli kumtaşı, litik tüf, biyoklastik kireçtaşı, ve vitrik tüf) ve 2 farklı cevher örneği (bakır cevheri ve kurşun cevheri) üzerine kesilebilirlik parametreleri olarak belirlenen spesifik kesme kuvveti, spesifik normal kuvvet, spesifik enerji ve keski tüketim miktarının belirlenebilmesi için küçük boyutlu kesme deneyi, ve Cerchar aşındırıcılık deneyleri uygulanmıştır. Buna ilave olarak, numuneler üzerine Schmidt çekici deneyleri uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen Schmidt sertliği değerleri kesilebilirlik parametreleri ile ilişkilendirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Sonuç olarak Schmidt sertliği ile tüm kesilebilirlik parametreleri arasında üstel ilişkiler elde edilmiştir. Bu sonuçlar ışığında Schmidt sertliğinin bu parametreler üzerinde etkisi olduğu belirlenmiştir.
